Dancing.
I can only dream of spinning on the floor, twirling my wife, Becca, on the ballroom floor. My feet don’t seem to be made for dancing. . . at least that’s what I think.
A few years ago when I first came to Thailand, I noticed how people love to dance. It’s natural, elegant, freestyle, and light. It’s fun watching. . . note I said “watching.”
But then during one of my visits with some people in Udon Thani my feet started moving! Encouraged by some of the older brothers and sisters they got me to dance! I sure wasn’t an Asian version of Fred Astaire but I was having fun. . . plopping my feet in awkward directions.
This reminds me of what NewSong Bangkok is all about. A lot of the world won’t dance today. There lives are filled with work, drivenness, heartache, pain and disappointment. Dancing is the last thing on their minds.
NewSong Bangkok is called to inspire people to dance. Each of us have been called to dance in a way that bursts with life and joy. Whether it’s hip hop or ballroom dancing, we each have our own moves. How do we get there?
There is only One that we believe who can lead us into this new way of living. 2,000 years ago He showed us a way we believe can change those who thought they would never dance again.
Come experience with us a new church for a new generation! We’re ready to dance!
