Welcome to Newsong!

Newsong started about twenty years ago in a small apartment. What has emerged over the past two decades is an amazing family of artists, creatives, innovators, business leaders, and community development specialists from all over the world. We’re an eclectic mix of cultures, communities, and people on the fringe. We believe diversity reflects the heart of God.

God’s given us a Kingdom vision at Newsong. Simply defined, it is to zealously love God and the misfits of this world, even in the midst of pain and discomfort.

We want to invite you to be a part of this vision! Every one of us is on a journey to passionately loving God with all our whole lives. We’re far from perfect but we want to keep it real. Our common ground as a group of misfits is our weakness and pain. At Newsong we also believe in the supernatural work of God. In our shared pain, we have discovered the healing power and freedom from Jesus. Life is often difficult and messy, which is why we desperately need God. We don’t hype God because he doesn’t need our small, shallow attempts. We love exploring the mystery of God and life. And we’ve seen how some of our best growth happens when we are uncomfortable and have challenging life experiences.

What are we about at Newsong? We’re serious about living a life focused on Jesus Christ and lead by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are committed to walking with each other in community. Relationships can be messy, but we must move away from isolated lives into true connection and life together. Newsong is also passionate about addressing the local and global causes of justice, advocacy, and blessing the poor. We believe God’s created us to make a difference in this world and we see it as our privilege to bless others.
