Huck Finn Day for Newsong Dad’s and Kids

“Dad, take me fishing!”

Spend a day with your children and other Dad’s fishing for Rainbow Trout up to 25 pounds at a privately stocked lake!  No need for a license, your own equipment or any prior fishing experience - rental rods are available and we will have volunteers there to help with fishing instructions.  All you need to bring is yourself and your kid(s).  This is a kid-friendly event so invite a friend and their children too - this is something everyone will enjoy!  There will be a kids fishing derby (ages 10 and under) with great prizes and a raffle.

Date: Saturday, March 13, 2010

Where: Santa Ana River Lakes, Anaheim CA

Time: Gate opens at 6 AM (but you can come anytime!)

Event Cost: (includes lunch):

- Adults (Dad’s and children over 12) . . . . .  $19

- Children 4-12 (with a limit of 3 fish) . . . . . . $  9

- Children 3 and under . . .  .  Free

- Ready-to-fish rental rods available for $ 4 (must be requested when pre-registering)

Online Pre-Registration is required for this event.  Early registration is strongly recommended.  (first 200 registrants only) Event registration ends on Sunday, March 7 or until all tickets are sold.  Ticket packets will be available for pick-up 2 weeks prior to the event  - Sunday Feruary 28 and March 7.

Schedule:

Fishing from 6-11 AM (or whenever you get there)

Lunch and fish stories from 11-1 PM

Kids Derby and Raffle from 1-2 PM

Donations: We would love to have donations of condiments and tableware for the event lunch (ketchup, mustard, relish, mayonnaise, plates, forks, napkins).  If you feel led to do this, please note that on the registration form!
