Hand It All Over
Bling! Bling! Sermon Series Part 6
Speaker: Sabastian Huynh
2 Corinthians 9:6-8
6Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:12
This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.
"Bling Bling" is not about the money, but about the investments you have with God.
- In the Old Testament, tithe was 10%
- However, in the New Testament, the tithe is not mentioned at all. Apostle Paul talks instead about giving Jesus your all.
The church in Macedonia was experiencing severe trials but still gave their all to God, then to others in need.
How do we give ourselves to God? (2 Cor. 9:6-8)
v.6 - Whoever gives all to God will experience God to the fullest; give sparingly and you'll only experience God sparingly
v.8 - key word: "ALL"
Generous Investment results in the Generous Returns
There may be many risks involved, but God is powerful. He proves Himself to be faithful.
- We need to give generously
- We need to give intentionally.
We need to do this as a response to Jesus' sacrifice & love for us.
**What is it in our lives that we need to surrender to God? **
